Data Retention Policy

We retain data based on need and legal obligation. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it securely. Some records are retained for extended periods to meet legal and safety obligations.

The following periods apply unless a longer period is required by law or to support an investigation or legal claim:

• Account and profile data: for the life of the account, then deleted or anonymised within 30 to 90 days of closure, subject to the exceptions below.
• Transaction and diamond records: retained for 6 to 7 years for accounting and tax purposes.
• Age and identity verification outcomes (not documents): retained for the period required by law, including after closure.
• Content consent records: retained for up to 7 years, even after the related content is removed.
• Moderation, safety, and incident records: retained for the period required by law to support investigations.
• Messages: retained while the account is active and for a limited period thereafter, unless required for an investigation.
• Support communications: retained for up to 24 months.
• Analytics and logs: retained in identifiable form for a limited period, then aggregated or deleted.

Where data is relevant to a legal claim, investigation, or law enforcement request, we retain it for as long as necessary regardless of the periods above.

You may request deletion of your data. We will comply except where we are legally required or permitted to retain it, for example consent records, verification outcomes, and financial records.

When data reaches the end of its retention period, we delete or anonymise it using secure methods.
